shame

Ephesians 4:22-25: You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Today, I’m finding it hard to trust in the knowledge that You have cleansed me and You have made me pure in Your eyes. I still feel shame, Lord, but I cannot find the words to let go of it. I know that speaking will release the power it has over me, so please give me the words to say and the courage to say them.
